Mr. Jared Vincent Heim is a passionate piano teacher with over ten years of experience and a deep love for nurturing young musicians. Jared’s journey started at the young age of 8 years old taking lessons as a child with locally renowned musician Don Buxton. later in his early adult life Jared’s musical journey was reinvigorated by being captivated by the iconic soundtracks of video games like Zelda, Mario, and Final Fantasy. He started plucking out melodies with one finger before returning to his childhood teacher, Don Buxton, who introduced him to the Suzuki method. Under Don’s guidance, Jared studied the entire Suzuki repertoire and ethos, an experience that would later shape his own teaching philosophy.

What sets Mr. Jared apart is his remarkable ability to connect with children. He treats every student with genuine respect never talking down to them, but challenging them as individuals. Drawing heavily from Dr. Suzuki’s approach, he teaches students to learn music by ear first, developing strong listening skills, memorization, and musical intuition. At the same time, he carefully builds music literacy, teaching theory in a fun and approachable way helping children understand the laws of music that connect us all whether we play music or not.

Parents often say their children actually look forward to lessons with Mr. Jared. While other activities feel like chores, kids jump right up with excitement for piano lessons. They beam with pride saying “Look what I can do!” and that joy is exactly what Jared cultivates. Instead of nagging about practice, he encourages parents to simply ask their child to “play something for me,” turning practice into proud performance.

Warm and patient, yet serious when it matters, Jared meets every child exactly where they are. Every lesson is personalized there is no one size fits all Mr. Jared curriculum. Whether a student needs structure, creativity, or extra encouragement, he tailors the experience to bring out their best.

Outside the studio, Jared is a dedicated martial artist of over 20 years, a lifelong gamer, nature lover, and studious soul. He brings that same balance of discipline, curiosity, and joy into every lesson he teaches.
